BlkArthouse is dedicated to protecting your personal and privileged information. For this reason, we do not sell your information and we limit access to your personal information to those persons who need to know it to perform their jobs and provide service to you and our artists, or as required by law. This includes if you are an artist working with us. Our website may contain links to other websites. We do not control privacy practices or content of any of our business partners, advertisers, sponsors, or other websites we provide links to or from our website. You should check the applicable privacy policy of the website sponsor when linking to other sites.

We collect personal information that we believe is necessary to serve you and our artists efficiently. We have collected one or more data types in the following categories from our users and artists within the past twelve (12) months preceding the last effective date of this policy:

• Other identifying information such as name, telephone number, education, employment, employment history, bank account information, and payment-card information;

• Characteristics of protected classifications such as age, gender, marital status, ethnic information, veteran status, disability status, or citizenship information; 

• Internet or other electronic network activity information such as browsing history, browser name, domain type, operating system information, IP addresses, access times, or device identifiers;

• Geolocation data, which may include precise location information of website visitors and app users; and

• Inferences drawn from any of the information above to create a profile

We DO NOT sell your personal information, including any personal information we collect from minors.

We may use the categories of information for the following business purposes:

To communicate with you: we may use information to inform you of new pieces of art, connecting you with our artists, or to communicate with you regarding any other purpose described in this policy

To perform our services: we may use this information to improve our services and help our artists identify who is purchasing their art

For marketing: We may use contact, demographic and site usage information to communicate about our services and to provide information about BlkArthouse. This may be by email, phone, or text. It may also be on social media platforms.

We collect information directly from you. We collect contact and demographic information from you and on our website. We collect payment information from you.

When We Share Information

 

We share information within the BlkArthouse community. This includes administrators and artists. The information shared within the BlkArthouse community includes: identifiers, other identifying information, characteristics of protected classifications, internet or other electronic network activity, geolocation data, and inferences drawn to create a profile. We do not share your financial information within the community.

We also share information with vendors and service providers. This includes payment-processing providers and providers who help us deliver marketing and other communications. We share the following categories of information with vendors who help perform services on our behalf: identifiers; other identifying information; characteristics of protected classifications; internet or network activity information; geolocation data; and inferences to create a profile.

We will share information if we think we have to in order to comply with the law or to protect ourselves. We share information we collect about you to respond to a court order or subpoena. We share information in response to a government agency or investigatory body requests. We share information we collect when we are investigating potential fraud. In the twelve months before the last update of this policy, we have not shared personal information for these reasons.

We also hope you understand that the existence of free-flowing data is valuable to our ability to connect you with our art and assist our artists in their career.  Nonetheless, your decision to share information is totally yours. Here are some of your rights:

• You can opt out of our emails; 

• You can control cookies and tracking tools;

• You can request that we disclose what information we collect or disclose about you (if you are a California resident); and

• You can request that we delete your information (if you are a California resident)

If you submit a request for access or deletion as a California resident pursuant to the California Consumer Protection Act, we will need to verify your request. We will verify your request by matching information you provide to us with information we have about you, such as contact information. If we are unable to verify your request, we may deny your request or request additional information. Any additional information we collect during this process will be used only for purposes of verification and not for any other purpose.

If you wish to submit a request through an authorized agent, we require the following before we can make the request:

• A copy of your signed permission authorizing the agent to make the request;

• That you verify your identity directly with us; or 

• Direct confirmation from you that you provided the agent permission to submit the request

We will not do any of the following because you have exercised any of your privacy rights: deny you goods or services, charge you different prices or rates for goods or services, provide you a different level of quality of goods or services, or suggest that you may receive a different price or rate for goods or services or a different level of quality goods or services.
