Welcome to the BlkArthouse Exhibition: Coming Home
Please explore this Group Exhibition reflecting the original artwork of our talented Black artists. The artwork available in this Exhibition is not available anywhere else and closes December 18, 2020. Next to each artwork you will hear from each artist on what inspired the piece and how they created it. Enjoy!
This virtual exhibition is brought to you by DC-based Black photographer and curator Shedrick Pelt of SdotPdotMedia.
“My photography potentiates affections that are close to
me during my life. Kethellin and Lorena are cousins and their family has a
decades-long relationship with my family, the feeling of seeing faces of love,
complicity and friendship is the feeling of being at home.”

You can still support Black artists today help by donating to our Artist Fund below.
The majority of your donation will go directly to the supported artists. Your donation will help our artists prepare for the upcoming holiday season, including assistance with art supplies, new easels, printing costs, marketing materials, and creative merchandise. The remaining 25% of donations will be used to support BlkArthouse as an organization centered on creating economic opportunity for our artists. In particular, we will use your donation to help with the promotion and marketing of our artists and paying volunteers for their assistance in the growth and development of BlkArthouse. Currently, BlkArthouse is hoping to make our current platform more accessible for a greater amount of Black artists to display their work. As a result, you will be connected to a larger supply of art by Black artists
